I was born and raised as a true Queens New Yorker. I attended public school K to 12 then pursued my degree in Legal Studies at Saint John's University. Upon graduation from the University I joined the New York Police Department where I proudly served our community from 1995 until 2015. In 2015 I retired from the police department as a First Grade Detective. While serving as an Officer of the Law I became fascinated with Real Estate and began investing in Real Estate personally, acquiring several properties. I seized the opportunity to retire early from my career in law enforcement so that I could enter into Real Estate full time. I joined Keller Williams Real Estate International, the world’s largest Real Estate Company in 2016. As my Real Estate experience expanded, I recognized the need of many homeowners who wished to sell their homes for top dollars yet did not have the money to bring the homes up to top condition. I began the search for talented professionals capable of home repair and renovation. Thus my real estate company became Ask Vinny Thompson, as I intended to be the answer to any question regarding New York City Real Estate. My wife Marjorie retired from her career in nursing and joined me in my Real Estate business in 2018. We have been married for 17 years and have two children. We have lived in the area for 30 years.
